Sarah & Joseph – Bridges Golf Course

Sarah and Joseph’s wedding was filled with fun events and memorable experiences. They were fully present and connected to their friends, family and each other. Sarah and Joseph become husband and wife that day, and were over-the-moon about starting a life together.

At the reception, Sarah included a few traditions to honour her heritage, including a Dutch wishing tree that enabled family and friends to write on a tag their best wishes for the couple. These tags were then hanged on various branches, filling the tree with well-wishes. Sarah is from North Carolina, so to honour her southern heritage, a “Southern bridal portrait” was framed and on display at the entrance to the reception hall. Bridal portraits originated in Europe, and the tradition eventually made its way across the Atlantic and below the Mason-Dixon line. Today, the bridal portrait is a long-standing Southern wedding tradition. They represent a rite of passage to Southern debs & belles alike.

Highlights of the day included: dozens of pretty paper lanterns, two stunning wedding gowns, and one gorgeous Cake Studio cake, which together added up to one fun-filled reception. The Danny Kramer Event Band played at the reception, providing an amazing night of dancing and singing. Danny Kramer invited guests to take centre stage with the band and belt out a song Karaoke style. What an awesome idea!

Sarah and Joseph’s wedding was the start of a marriage, the continuation of a journey, and a promise to see their adventure through no matter where it takes them. Click here to view all of Sarah & Joseph’s photos.

Kenzie & Lyndon – Winnipeg Wedding Photography

Kenzie and Lyndon wed on a particularly rainy day. Wedding folklore suggests rain on your wedding day is a sign of good luck and unity for the couple, while Alanis Morissette simply thinks it’s ironic (don’t you think)? The idea stems from the fact that a wet knot is very difficult to untie. It then stands to reason when a couple “ties the knot” on a rainy day, their marriage will be just as difficult to unravel. The Millennium Centre was an amazing backdrop for Kenzie and Lyndon’s photoshoot and offered many opportunities for interesting photos. Kenzie, Lyndon and their bridal party were energetic and fun, making for a very enjoyable day. Peachy Green Events provided various decorative items that gave the room a distinct vintage feel, while Beyond Flowers created the gorgeous bouquets and centrepieces to further enhance guests’ experience. Throughout the evening, family and friends enjoyed making their own treats at a Smores bar and playing pool, as a pool hall was the location of their first date. The highlight of the reception was the fireworks display by Archangel Fireworks. Thanks for choosing Rygiel Photography & Video to capture the memories of your wedding day. Click here to view all of Kenzie & Lyndon’s photos.

Jaimie & Brian – Hitch n’ Post Wedding

Held at Louise and Kyle Anderson’s idyllic Hitch n’ Post, located in Grosse Isle Manitoba, this wonderful wedding ceremony was filled with beauty, grace and style. The wedding’s country chic theme was beautifully simplistic. The venue was adorned with hand crafted wood items and many detailed personal touches, including a beautiful archway the groom built for the ceremony. The portrait session took advantage of the beautiful scenery and country feel of the Hitch n’ Post, and included a classic 1940s red pickup truck. The country chic atmosphere carried on into the reception where rustic country details were part of each centrepiece which rested upon winsome linens supplied by Planned Perfectly. White lanterns were suspended from the ceiling, handmade signs were prominently placed, dozens of DIY details were featured throughout the hall, and Academy Florist’s brilliant flowers provided the finishing touches. Jaimie was radiant in her wedding gown from Stella’s Bridal & Evening Collections. Rygiel Photography & Video was honoured to have been chosen to capture the memories of this inspired rustic country wedding. We wish Jaimie and Brian all the best in their new life together. Click here to view all of Jaimie & Brian’s photos.
