Rebecca & Jeff – Manitoba Engagement Photography

We did this shoot at Jeff’s family farm near beautiful St. Rose du Lac, Manitoba. Carmen and I went on a road trip for this shoot, passing through Neepawa along the way where we stopped for dinner on the way home. Rebecca and Jeff both grew up on farms – Rebecca on a grain farm and Jeff on a dairy farm. The country holds special value to them, so they wanted their engagement shoot to feature this rural area of Manitoba. Their son Aidan got in on the act and posed for a few shots in front of the camera.

Tanya’s Dance Worx – Calgary Dance Photography

Tanya’s Dance Worx is one of Calgary’s best and most exciting dance studios. We were stoked to photograph and video these talented young dancers for the second consecutive year. This year’s energy filled recital was a two day event entitled “Leave it on the Dance Floor.” Hundreds of dancers displayed their impressive talents for three sold out shows. Congratulations to Emma Higman, who was presented a dance scholarship courtesy of Rygiel Photography & Video.

Absolutely beautiful photographs…shows off the vibrant colours, and flawless reality with an artistic touch! Amazing action!

P.S. Emma Higman is our grandaughter, of whom we are very very proud. She LOVES to perform, (especially for an audience), as her instructor must know! We live in Ontario, and haven’t seen our grandchildren in a number of years. Pictures such as yours with such vivid reality are a real blessing…almost like seeing her in person. Emma tells me she is really looking forward to fall classes, and possibly getting into competitive dance. (I’m sure she will shine at anything she persues). She was SO thrilled to receive the scholarship.

Cherie & Jonathan will be married this fall and we’re delighted they chose Rygiel to photograph and videotape their wedding day. Their ceremony will be held at the beautiful St. Mary’s Cathedral in downtown Winnipeg. The reception will take place at the newly renovated Viscount Gort Hotel. Cherie & Jonathan are a cute couple who love to laugh and we spent a wonderful afternoon doing their E-Shoot.

Sturgeon Heights Fashion Show – 2012

Some of our favourite people are in Sturgeon Height’s Graduating Class of 2012. This year’s fashion show featured an old Hollywood theme. The girls really got in to the spirit of glitz and glamour donning gowns from Stella’s Bridal & Evening Collections. Beth, Breanne  and Robyn, along with their friends, paid tribute to Footloose with an incredible dance number. The money raised from the show will be used for the safe grad. Myla & Russell – Winnipeg Wedding Video

This Love Story video was created by Winnipeg Wedding Photographer & Videographer Mitchell Rygiel. The video was featured at Myla & Russell’s wedding reception. Russell proposed to Myla on a ship at sea and their wedding took place on April 14, 2012, the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. We know that unlike the Titanic, Myla & Russell’s love is unsinkable!
